A one day workshop for people who would like to learn a bit more about their cameras and how to take great photos. If you've just got an SLR or one of the new Micro four-thirds cameras, or perhaps you're thinking of getting one and would like to learn more about it, this is the course for you.
We'll be looking at getting you away from 'Auto' mode and understanding the various settings available to you to improve your photography. If you don't have a camera there will be the opportunity to borrow one, just tell me in advance.

The day will begin with a talk about the settings on your camera and how they affect the way images are produced. This includes understanding exposure, aperture & shutter speed, RAW files and ISO, as well as a look at white balance, light and composition.
Lunch is included and will be provided by the lovely Medicine Chest Restaurant and Bar nearby.
The afternoon will be hands-on and spent taking photos and practicing some of the ideas looked at in the morning. We will then return for afternoon tea to take a look at some of your photographs and also examine what to do with images once you've taken them using photo editing applications. You will be able to take home with you an A4 giclée print of your choice.
The course will be held on Saturday 21st January 2012 in Hove, East Sussex and costs just £95 for the day. It runs from 10am until 5pm. There are a maximum of eight places available, so book quickly before they all go!
GIFT VOUCHERS AVAILABLE: If you have a friend who is interested in photography or perhaps you happen to know they're getting a camera at Christmas, why not give them a gift voucher for the course?
